Handicaps
The handicap system helps share prizes and make matches more competitive so everyone enjoys it. Everyone will start off the handicaps shown in the Players section - they will then be adjusted each day as follows:

- 1 shot - 0.5 shot - 0.5 shot -0.3 per point above buffer + 1 shot +0.3 per point below buffer |
Buffer Zone:
2 points below average of all scores to 2 points above average (rounded)
No handicaps can go up if you win a match
Handicaps rounded to nearest number (0.5 is rounded up)
All players start off the difference between club handicap and tour handicap, unless tour handicap is lower in which case they start off tour handicap.

Rule 19.3 "Exceptional Circumstances"- where a player is deemed to be of excessive bandit status and/or between annual tournaments has suddenly increased the level of golf played, their handicap shall be reviewed and adjusted to an appropriate level, considering tour history, club handicap and any other factors deemed appropriate. Also known as the cheating bastard rule.
